How to play

How to play PitchWar

PitchWar is a free invention battle. You invent a product, your friends invent rival products, and an AI judge scores the round. A typical game takes 10 to 15 minutes.

  1. Step 1

    Gather players

Use one laptop, tablet, or phone for Local Party Mode, or host a room so everyone plays on their own device. Two to eight people works best.

  2. Step 2

Pick a mode and a judge

Choose a battle such as Classic, Mum Test, Billion Pound Bollocks, or Useless But Viral, then pick a judge from Pub Genius to Savage Dragon.

  3. Step 3

    Pitch the invention

Each player names the idea, explains what it is, and why anyone would buy it. Hide the screen between turns so nobody steals the gag.

  4. Step 4

    Let the AI judge

The judge scores every pitch, roasts the weak spots, and names a winner. Rematch, change mode, or keep the rivalry going.

FAQ

What is PitchWar?
PitchWar is a free party game for two or more people. You invent a product, pitch it, and an AI judge roasts the ideas and picks a winner. It is built for sofa nights, pubs, couples, and founder friends who want a high-stakes pitch battle without a board.
How do you play PitchWar?
Pick a battle mode and an AI judge, get a challenge, then take turns pitching an invention. When everyone has submitted, the AI scores commercial potential, originality, and entertainment, then names a winner. You can rematch immediately.
Can you play PitchWar on one device?
Yes. Local Party Mode is pass-and-play on a laptop, tablet, or phone. Add two to eight names, hide the screen between turns, and let the AI judge the round. It is the fastest way to play.
Can you play PitchWar with friends online?
Yes. Host a room, share a short code or QR, and everyone pitches from their own device. The host keeps the table view; players only see their own pitch until judging.
Is PitchWar free?
The first two judged rounds each day are free. That is enough to try the game. A Game Night Pass is £3.99 for 24 hours of unlimited AI judging for the whole group. No account is required.
Is PitchWar like a TV pitch show?
PitchWar has a high-stakes investor judge and a ruthless roast, so the tone can feel like a TV pitch show. Unlike the real thing, a round takes minutes, anyone can play, and the judge is an AI that scores jokes and unit economics in the same breath.
Do you need to create an account?
No. Open pitchwar.co.uk and start a round in the browser. After you buy a Game Night, you can optionally secure it to email so you can restore it on another phone, browser or laptop. Play does not require an account.
Is PitchWar like Dragon's Den?
It has the same high-stakes pitch energy: you invent something, you sell it, and a ruthless judge scores you. Unlike the TV show, a round takes minutes, anyone can play, and the judge is an AI that scores jokes and unit economics together.
Is PitchWar like Jackbox?
It is in the same family of party games you play in a browser with friends. PitchWar is specifically an invention-and-pitch battle with an AI judge, not a pack of mini-games. One device works. Separate phones work too.
Can you play PitchWar in a pub on one phone?
Yes. Local Party Mode is pass-and-play on a phone, tablet, or laptop. Add names, hide the screen between turns, and let the AI judge. No app download and no login.
Do you need to download an app?
No. PitchWar runs in the browser at pitchwar.co.uk. There is no App Store or Play Store install.
